Reconciling the Present with the Past
I explore the world through a unique lens, attempting to bridge the gap between contemporary subjects and historical rendering techniques. My practice is deeply rooted in a traditional art education, supported by undergraduate degrees in both Photography and Graphic Design.
Traditional Foundation
My artistic vocabulary is built upon the rigorous discipline of traditional art. By understanding the structural rules of classic image-making, I am able to intentionally deconstruct them, creating tension between the medium and the message.
Experimental Execution
I thrive at the intersection of conventional and experimental mediums. Whether manipulating analog film processes, blending physical textures with digital graphic design, or reimagining rendering techniques, the goal remains the same: to challenge how the viewer perceives the subject.
